Product Overview
Astha B Guard is an eco-friendly biopesticide containing highly concentrated spores of Beauveria bassiana. When these spores come into contact with the target insect, they penetrate the exoskeleton and multiply internally, leading to the eventual elimination of the pest. This “white muscardine” effect creates a self-sustaining cycle of protection as the fungus spreads among the pest population.
Key Features & Benefits

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Is Astha B Guard safe for my pets and family? Yes! Astha B Guard is a biological product. Unlike chemical pesticides, it specifically targets insects and is non-toxic to humans, pets, and livestock. It is an ideal choice for home kitchen gardens.
2. Can I harvest my vegetables immediately after spraying? Absolutely. One of the biggest advantages of Beauveria bassiana is that it has a “Zero Day” Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI). You can spray today and harvest today, provided you wash the produce as you normally would.
3. Why hasn’t the pest died immediately after spraying? Biological agents work differently than “knock-down” chemicals. The fungus needs time to infect the insect. You will notice the pests stop feeding within 24 hours, and they will die within 3 to 7 days. This creates a cleaner, longer-lasting environment.
4. Can I mix Astha B Guard with my regular fertilizers? Yes, it is generally compatible with bio-fertilizers and seaweed extracts. However, never mix it with chemical fungicides, as they will kill the beneficial fungus in Astha B Guard, making it ineffective.
5. How often should I apply it? For preventive care, once every 15 days is sufficient. If you are dealing with an active pest infestation, we recommend spraying every 7 days until the population is controlled.
6. What is the best time of day to apply the spray? The spores are sensitive to UV rays. For maximum potency, apply late in the evening or during overcast days. High humidity also helps the fungus “activate” and infect the pests faster.
